April is Earth Month, and at Aldea Coffee, we believe that small, intentional actions can make a big impact. This year, we’re hosting a lineup of events designed to reduce waste, inspire action, and bring our community together in support of the planet. Join us throughout April as we Explore, Enjoy, and Preserve the world around us!
April 1-6: Mug & Tote Donations
Declutter with purpose! Bring your gently used reusable mugs and tote bags to either Aldea Coffee cafe. These donations will be put to good use at our upcoming Lakeshore Earth Day Celebration to help reduce the single-use items used at the event.
April 14-28: Bring Your Own Mug Challenge
We love seeing your favorite travel mugs in the cafe! Bring yours in for your drink at least five times over these two weeks, and we’ll give you a free Explore, Enjoy, Preserve sticker sheet as a thank-you for reducing single-use waste.
Our new sticker sheet is inspired by three foundational words in our mission: Explore, Enjoy, and Preserve. These words have guided us for years, and we’ve often wanted to find a way to visually capture the unique feelings and energy they embody. Since a single image couldn’t hold it all, our Creative Director, Elly, created a collection of illustrations that reflect the ways we explore, enjoy, and preserve the world around us.
Each element in the design tells part of this story—from coffee brewing tools to symbols that connect us to both Honduras and Michigan. You’ll find a white pine branch, Petoskey stone, and cherry blossom, all native to Michigan and representing our state tree, rock, and flower. Together, these symbols capture the essence of Aldea and the community we’re building.
April 22: Earth Day
No events—just an open invitation to celebrate our planet! Get outside, soak up some fresh air, and take a moment to Explore, Enjoy, and Preserve the world around you.
April 24: Pere Marquette Beach Cleanup (7:00-8:00 PM)
Join us at Pere Marquette Beach in Muskegon to remove litter and protect our shoreline. Supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring reusable gloves and a bucket to help minimize waste.

April 26: Grand Haven City Beach Cleanup (9:00-10:30 AM)
Start your day with purpose! We’ll be gathering at Grand Haven City Beach to remove litter and protect our shoreline. Supplies will be provided, but reusable gloves and buckets are encouraged.

April 26: Lakeshore Earth Day Celebration (12:00-4:00 PM)
We’re excited to be part of this year’s Lakeshore Earth Day Celebration at the Temple Lounge in Spring Lake. This event will feature 15 select organizations tackling environmental challenges in West Michigan, creating a focused and meaningful experience.
